As part of Glad to Care Week 2025, weโre thrilled to recognise Amy Garfoot, who has been awarded a ยฃ100 voucher for her outstanding contribution to care.
Amy is the heart and soul of Ty Mair Care Home. As the Resident Administrator, sheโs often the first face families see, managing admissions, supporting residents with personal finances, and fostering a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the door.
Nominated by her manager Simon Ford, Amy was praised for her โhard work, commitment, and love of the residents.โ Itโs no wonder sheโs formed such strong relationships with residents and their families, many of whom visit her regularly in her office. Her professionalism and compassion truly reflect the values of Ty Mair

โIt was a total surprise to be nominated and wonderful to be selected. I love my job and can think of nothing better to do than support our residents and enhance their daily lives. Thank you โ Iโll spend the voucher on my garden, which I love pottering in on my days off.โ
Congratulations, Amy, you embody everything Glad to Care Week stands for. Enjoy your well-deserved voucher, and happy gardening! ๐ฟ๐
