Pollard’s Promises Celebrates its New Look and World Kindness Day with Hampers for Caregivers

Pollard’s Promises, the charitable arm of Quality Care Group (QCG) celebrates carers in care homes this week, with personalised hampers in aid of World Kindness Day, taking place Friday 13 November 2020.

Pollard’s Promises recognises both caregivers and service users with special treats and experience days as a way of giving back to a sector that Darren Pollard, (Managing Director and Founder) and his whole team have so much passion for.

World Kindness Day is an international observance on 13 November and the main idea behind it is to make someone’s day. Whether you highlight a good deed in a community, reward someone in the workplace who has gone the extra mile, or send a gift to someone special as a kind gesture. This year, in particular, has been difficult for many and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Care workers have been unsung heroes. As such Pollard’s Promises wants to recognise these heroes and simply say a huge thank you to carers for their hard work throughout the year.

Before the second lockdown, Darren and his team had planned to visit local care homes personally, however, due to the COVID restrictions, the hampers were sent earlier in the week, ready for carers to receive on Friday 13th. Darren said: “Although we are disappointed we can’t give these hampers in person, we are still really pleased that we could send them in time so that carers can enjoy the treats on World Kindness Day. This year has been extremely tough for the care sector and we want to personally thank the unsung heroes who have continued to work throughout lockdown."
