It’s always lovely to hear about teams who truly support one another, like the care team at Elm Lodge. Their manager, Claire Detraux, told us just how special they are, and we’re thrilled to celebrate them with a well-earned wish.

Claire's nomination speaks volumes about the dedication, compassion, and sheer grit that the Elm Lodge Care Team brings to their work. In her own words:

"As the Registered Manager of Elm Lodge Care Home, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of our care team. Over the past weeks and months, they have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the residents, the home, and to each other.

In what can often be a challenging and demanding role, the team has consistently stepped up, covering shifts when we were short-staffed and ensuring that no task was left undone. The level of care and compassion they provide to our residents is truly remarkable, and it does not go unnoticed. They consistently deliver the highest standards of care with kindness, patience, and professionalism, even in the face of adversity.

The role of a caregiver is not always one that is met with the gratitude it deserves, but I want to personally thank each and every member of our team for their hard work, dedication, and selflessness. You make a real difference in the lives of the residents you care for, and your efforts are deeply appreciated.

Thank you for being such an exceptional team. Your resilience, compassion, and teamwork are the heart of Elm Lodge Care Home, and we are truly lucky to have you.”
