At Mayflower Care, teamwork and compassion are the foundation of everything they do, and few embody that spirit more than Manager Sheila Osborne and Deputy Manager Sophie Tollie.

Nominated by Eleanor Charsley, this dynamic duo has gone above and beyond during a particularly challenging time at the home. Over the past four months, the facility has undergone major renovations, including a new roof, updated bathrooms and bedrooms, and the addition of two brand new rooms.

Sheila and Sophie worked tirelessly to maintain a calm and positive environment for both residents and staff. Despite the upheaval, they managed to organise thoughtful outings for residents to the seaside, local parks, and shops, ensuring that the ongoing construction didn’t impact their day to day.

Their efforts extended beyond their roles, frequently stepping in wherever needed to support their team and boost morale. Their calm leadership, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting difference throughout the renovation period.

In recognition of their outstanding dedication, Sophie and Sheila were surprised with luxurious spa hampers as part of a well-earned wish granted to them. Their response?
