At Rubislaw Park Care Home in Aberdeen, kindness and compassion are woven into daily life. Recently, that spirit was beautifully reflected in a heartfelt nomination from Michelle Mason for one very special resident: Agnes Urqhart.

Michelle shared:

“Agnes is a special lady, always helping and trying to look after other residents. She recently received some sad news, losing her daughter, and I just wanted to make sure she knows how much she is loved by all of us. I’ve built a strong bond with this family, and this was a chance to show them we care.”

Moved by her warmth and resilience, the Pollard’s Promises team was honoured to gift Agnes a bundle of joy: a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a bottle of prosecco, a candle, and some indulgent chocolate.

On her birthday, Agnes was presented with the surprise and her reaction said it all. She was visibly touched and deeply moved that someone had been thinking of her during such a personal time.

Michelle added:

“She was taken aback that someone would be thinking of her. Her son was also incredibly grateful. Thank you again for the gift, it really made her day.”
