In the world of care, it's often the quiet, behind-the-scenes actions that make the biggest impact. Amanda Taylor and Sandra Cavanagh are shining examples of that spirit. Nominated by their Regional Manager, Victoria Barnes-Hudson, both women were recognised for their selfless commitment to both the care team and the clients they serve every day.

From helping carers in need by sourcing vouchers for food and clothing, to making birthdays brighter for clients with cakes and balloons, Amanda and Sandra continually go above and beyond. Their compassion doesn’t stop when the workday ends – they are known to be a constant line of support, always available at the end of the phone for anyone who needs them.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, these two exceptional individuals played a vital role in the coordinated response that supported over 400 clients to leave hospital safely and recover at home. Their dedication helped ease the strain on local hospitals while ensuring clients received the best possible care in a familiar environment.

Sandra and Mandy also bring a personal touch that often goes unnoticed. Whether it’s organising special tea parties to help socially isolated clients make meaningful connections, or taking the time to check in on a struggling colleague, they lead with kindness in every sense.
