At Pollard’s Promises, we’re committed to showing kindness and support when it’s needed most. One of our most touching nominations came from Lucy Cornish, who put forward her incredible niece Laura and Laura’s son Lewis, who at just 5 years old, has faced two years of intense chemotherapy treatment.

Lucy shared with us the immense challenges Laura has endured, balancing hospital stays, emotional strain, and financial pressures as she remains constantly by Lewis’s side. What truly struck us was not just the story of struggle, but the incredible strength, patience, and love that defines this small but mighty family.

Originally, we offered a spa day to give Laura a moment of rest, but due to hospital commitments, dates proved too tricky. So, we adapted the wish to meet the moment: a food and drink hamper to help during long hospital days and for Lewis, who loves dinosaurs, we added a cuddly dino toy and blanket for comfort.

"Laura was blown away by your gifts and said thank you so much," said Lucy.
"Please keep doing what you do, it really does make a huge difference."

And little Lewis? He loved his dinosaur, his smile says it all.
