Thank you Deena!

At Pollard’s Promises, we are proud to recognise individuals who make a lasting difference in the lives of others and Deena Jacobs is one of them.

Nominated by Kristin Jackson-Brown, Deena is the Care Home Manager at Cathay Care Home, where she has made an incredible impact. Stepping into a team that had experienced frequent leadership changes, Deena was met with understandable hesitation. But through patience, consistency, kindness, and a genuine commitment to her team, she has transformed the environment into one built on trust, teamwork, and pride.

Deena leads by example every single day. She supports, develops, and challenges her team in equal measure, creating a positive culture of learning and growth. Her colleagues describe her as upbeat, energetic, and endlessly positive, someone who inspires those around her and brings out the very best in her team.

What makes Deena’s story even more remarkable is her strength beyond the workplace. While continuing to give so much to others at work, she is also facing significant challenges at home, yet still shows up with the same positivity and care. A true caregiver in every sense, Deena embodies the spirit of selflessness that Pollard’s Promises exists to celebrate.

To show our appreciation, we are delighted to grant Deena’s wish for a healthy snack hamper, a small token to remind her to take a moment for herself and enjoy something she truly deserves.

When she received the surprise, Deena shared:

“Wow, was not expecting to being nominated for this, and Pollard's Promises healthy hamper is full of delicious foods which I will enjoy immensely, such a wonderful surprise. Thank you.”

Deena, thank you for everything you do. Your positivity, resilience, and dedication inspire us all.
