At Pollard's Promises, we love recognising the incredible people who make a real difference in the lives of others. This time, we were delighted to grant a wish for the amazing team at Russettings Care Home, who were surprised with a treats hamper in recognition of their dedication, compassion, and outstanding teamwork.

The Russettings Team was nominated by their Registered Manager, Nikki Pile, who wanted to celebrate the exceptional care and support they provide every single day. Nikki said:

"I would like to nominate my outstanding care team in recognition of their dedication, compassion, and teamwork.

Every member of the team works exceptionally well together, creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and colleagues. They consistently treat every resident with dignity, respect, and kindness, ensuring that each person feels valued and cared for.

What makes our team truly special is that they go beyond simply providing excellent care. They take the time to laugh, joke, and engage with residents, bringing joy to their day and creating meaningful relationships. Their warmth and genuine compassion help make every day brighter for our residents that they support.

Despite working long hours and facing the daily challenges that come with providing care for residents who are living with a Dementia, they always remain positive, approachable, and professional. Their smiles, encouragement, and willingness to help never go unnoticed.

The atmosphere they create is reflected in the feedback we receive from visitors, who frequently comment on the homely, welcoming feel of our home. This is a direct result of the team's commitment to making our residents feel comfortable, happy, and truly at home.

Their dedication and commitment to delivering person-centred care make them highly deserving of this nomination and recognition."

We were honoured to grant the team's wish with a treats hamper as a small token of appreciation for everything they do. It was wonderful to hear how much the surprise meant to everyone.

After receiving the hamper, the team shared their thanks:
